Spruce St, From River to River

For this assignment, we were to pick a street in Center City that stretched from one river to the other. I choose Spruce, and focused mostly on the smaller details of the street that one might miss at first glance. I started the trip at 10:46 am today, and didn't stop until I reached the river at 1:35p,.

Suggestions for the World...

For this assignment, I had to complete 12 portraits of people around the art museum area. I wanted to get a little more out of them than just a picture and their basic info, so I decided to set up a suggestion box for the world to see how people responded. I set it up for a while at the top of the museum's steps, and then went to the bottom also to look for suggestions. People answered the questions I gave them, and then I snapped a quick pic of them. These are the suggestions for the world I got, and the people that gave them to me...

Stacey is the one on the left, she wanted to be photographed with her friends.

Rephotographing South Philadelphia

The goal of this project is essentially to visually chart some of the changes that South Street has undergone over the past century. By attempting to capture the scene and dimensions of the original photograph, it is possible to see some of the modifications time has left imprinted on South Street.

This map pinpoints the ten places on and around South Street that I am rephotographing. Some of the archived and current pictures have more than 80 years of history between them.
